Purchase Examination
Buying a horse is a confidential matter. Specially at buying sportshorses it is necessary and expedient to order an independent veterinarian for executing an accurate and careful purchase examination.
In Germany we call this procedure Ankaufsuntersuchung or Verkaufsuntersuchung.
Our clinic examinates a lot of horses as purchase examinations in our clinic and also in stables all over Germany. Reliable work with a lot of experience in sportshorses garanties a neutral and detailled certificate.
After the purchase examination we send the complete report in english to our customer with all digital x-rays we made.
We use a modern digital x-ray machine for purchase examinations. So we can offer you a good quality and send the radiographs to you or your veterinarian immediately.
German classification system of findings at x-ray-examinations:
Category 1 (C 1):
No striking findings, which can be classified as anatomic deviations.
Category 2 (C 2):
Findings which deviate slightly from the standard. Not probably to be clinical perceptible.
Category 3 (C 3):
Findings which deviate obviously from the standard. Modest probability of clinical perception.
Category 4 (C 4):
Findings which deviate substantially from the standard. High probability of clinical perception.
The judging of the radiographs into the different categories is carried out by the assessing veterinarian.
Intermediate Classes:
The differentiation into the classes 1-2, 2-3 and 3-4 is possible. Intermediate classes are used when a radiograph cannot be clearly categorised. They also take in account the fact that veterinarians can deviate in their opinions.
